Jeffrey Last, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Southfield Michigan. Dr. Last earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1970, a Masters in Special Education from the University of Michigan in 1972 and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1981.

For more than 30 years he has treated children, adolescents, adults and seniors in psychotherapy. He has worked in many settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics as well as his current private practice. He has received specialty training in child therapy as well as hypnosis. Dr. Last also performs psychological testing to assess for learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder as well as help to clarify personality dynamics.

Dr. Last also has a subspecialty in the area of the treatment of psychological aspects of medical problems, particularly chronic pain. He has published professionally in the American Journal of Psychotherapy and the Journal of Personality Assessment. He has lectured in numerous settings locally and abroad, as well as served as a consultant to local schools.

Dr. Last is a member of the Michigan Psychological Association and is listed with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.



Deborah Gamperling, M.S.

Ms. Gamperling has extensive experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. She has experience working in both outpatient and hospital settings. She has a subspecialty working with individuals who have undergone cardiac procedures, completing specialized training at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and the Guidant Corporation in St. Paul. She has also published on this topic in the Archives of Internal Medicine.  She has also made numerous presentations on the psychological aspects of medical conditions.

Ms. Gamperling is a member of the Michigan Psychological Association as well as the Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology.
